Arts Hamilton presents Play on the Street
This year's Play on the Street celebration took place September 18th, 2009 in the courtyard of Hamilton Central Police Station. This community celebration of theatre that had free admission featured live performances by local theatre companies.
For the first time in our City's history, Arts Hamilton engaged our community in a celebration of live theatre! Actors and playwrights from, Stand up Theatre, Hammer Entertainment, Dundas Little Theatre and the Ontario Trillium Foundation Mentor Project came together to perform a series of 20 minute vignettes.
Support for the celebration was not only shown through the remarkable turnout from the community, but from the generous donation from our sponsor, The Ontario Trillium Foundation. Arts Hamilton would like to thank everyone for their support at our first Play on the Street celebration! We look forward to seeing you there next year!
